Sindhi Guwar
Ingredients:
2 cups chopped guwar (cluster beans) - boiled
1/2 cup peeled and chopped green mango
1 teaspoon garlic paste or finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon green chili chopped
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon ginger paste
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
3 tablespoons oil
1 cup water
Method:
Wash and pat dry guwar beans
Cut each bean little from top and bottom
Chop these beans to half an inch size pieces
Pressure cook these beans with little water to two whistles
Let the cooker cool down then open and strain water out
Keep boiled guwar aside
Now heat a pot on low medium heat
Add chopped ginger garlic and chili pieces and cook for a minute till garlic becomes slightly brown in color
Add chopped green mango pieces and all dry masalas
Mix well and cook for 2 minutes
Add boiled guwar and mix well
Cook it for a minute or so
When oil appears on the sides,add water, mix well, cover the pot
And cook for about 5-6 minutes.
By now almost all water gets evaporated and guwar looks semi moist.
So guwar is ready to be eaten with chapati or bajra roti.
