Light Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
Cake
1 Cup Plain Flour
3 Tablespoon Herseys Chocolate Powder
1 Cup Brown Sugar
75 gram melted butter
1 egg
3 Tablespoon Unsweetened Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Filling
Fresh Cream for Whipping
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1 Tablespoon Powdered Sugar
Preparation
For the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 180 C
In a large mixing bowl mix together 1 Cup brown sugar and melted cool butter and beat until you have a pale fluffy mixture
Add the egg and continue beating
Add the milk and vanilla essence
Add the chocolate powder and mix thoroughly using a whisk if you have to get a neat texture
Add the flour and baking powder and blend into the mixture
Add the olive oil if you want a rich texture
Line a baking 6 Inch Circular tin
Fill in the tin
Bake for 25 Minute
For the Filling:
Whip the cream along with the vanilla essence and powdered sugar until light and fluffy
To Serve:
Cool the Cake for 15 to 20 Minute and slice it to fill in the Whipped Cream
