5 heaped Tablespoons plain flour
1 heaped Tablespoon powdered sugar
1 heaped Tablespoon chopped hazelnuts
2 heaped Tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature (not melted)
1 Teaspoon vanilla essence
In a bowl put butter and sugar and with a fork mix it to a soft fluffy cream
Add flour, nuts and essence to it
Bring all together to form a soft dough
This dough will yield 12 small balls.
Flatten each ball in between your palms to small discs
With the fork make a plus sign on top of each cookie
Now in the center of each cookie put a chocolate chip or nuts
Line them on a baking tray
Bake them at 180 degree C for 10-12 minutes or till the edges of cookies turn golden brown.
Cool them completely and store them in an airtight jar.
