Apple Crumble Pie


For Filling

Apple 2 - peeled, cored and grated

Brown Soft Sugar - 2 teaspoons

Milk - 3 tablespoons

For Pie Crust

Plain Flour - 6 tablespoons heaped

Unsalted butter - 4 tablespoons

Sugar - 2 tablespoons

Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

Milk to knead

Roasted Almonds 10 - roughly chopped

Cinnamon Powder- 1/2 teaspoon

Brown soft sugar - 1 teaspoon


In a bowl put plain flour and mix unsalted butter in it, to breadcrumbs texture.

Mix sugar and vanilla essence to it.

Knead with milk, little by little, to soft dough.

Let it rest in fridge for 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 170degree C.

Roll out dough to thin disc shape and put in pre-greased pie case.

Trim the sides of crust.

With help of a fork, pierce the crust at few places, so it will not puff up while baking.

Blind bake for 10 minutes.

Mix all items for filling well and put on pie crust.

From the leftover dough of trims, roll out thin strips and cover the filling of pie.

Return to bake for 10 more minutes or till upper crust turns golden in color.

Take it out from oven and let it cool.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on the side.

Preparation Time : 40 Minutes

Baking Time : 20 Minutes
